— Daily Journal Entry 003 —
I mean, really, no one will probably ever read the majority of my posts, so who cares… why bother?…
Well, for one, Instead of a private journal, I’d rather post (most) of what pops into my head. I guess I could do so on X, substack, and maybe I will switch over to one, or both of those at some point. At least, those places have a built in audience giving some a slightly better chance at someone reading what they’re writing. I used to have different social media accounts that received (a little) attention from random strangers in the form of quite postive comments. And back then, comments were generally easier to tell when they were geniune, and there wasn’t as much negativity. There also wasn’t nearly as many people trying to create a presence online.
But like a lot of things in my life, I let it (my previous accounts) fall to the way-side. And now… Talk about having to run / walk uphill all the way…. Most of the time, I’m like, “Well, if I didn’t like creating / writing just for the sake of creating / writing, then there would certainly be no need to continue because getting “heard. or seen” seems next to impossible.
And why would anyone really want to view a video of mine, or read one of my blog posts. I’m not a scientist, a legal professional, professor, or an accomplished musician… So, why?…
I can think of a couple of reasons to “Post Anyway.” And they would be:
- Get Better at Writing – Despite the advent / onset of AI, I still think writing is a wonderful skill to have (if you have it – I’m working on it..). This category (Daily Pulse) is being used for this purpose. These posts are meant to be shorter, less edited posts to allow for just spitting out the words as they come to me. The hardest part is stopping sometimes. My orginal intent is to write only 200-250 words, and surprisingly I’m finding it hard to stop in that range because I hate to leave a thought unfinished; however, this website is supposed to exist primarily for my music. I guess writing in general is closely associated (song writing, etc.)…
- Documentation – Again, going back to keeping that non-private journal. Who knows, maybe that bit you (I) wrote about “the thing” will be useful one day. Being able to look back and point to a specific time when you annotated the specifics about a particular event. You might find that earlier information useful yourself for a future project.
- The Possibility of Being Found is Still There – Ya never know, someone could still run across your written blog post and become a fan for life…

- Note: These “Daily Journal Entries” are part of a mini blog within the main blog where I make every effort to publish a 250+ word post per day on top of the regular, longer posts. The idea is to just create a daily habit of publishing written content. And also, to try and become a better overall writer… We’ll see…
