Day 006: Taking On Too Many Guitar Classes

Have you ever found yourself in a course buying frenzy, where you think to yourself, “Ya know, I better just go ahead and buy this course now before I forget about it. It’s exaclty what I want to learn and I would just hate to forget about it, and then when I do, forget where I saw it because I didn’t save it in my favorites…”… Or, something along those lines…?

I have about a dozen, or so Guitar DVD’s, Udemy courses, LinkedIn Learning (Lynda Learning?) courses, etc. just sitting there never having been finished. Some of them, never started. The same goes with book purchases… I should just start a library and let people just check out my books for free because, at least then, they would be getting read by someone.

Not all of them are about guitar. Some are biographies. Some are about recording, song writing, etc. They run the gamot let’s just say.

One of these days (that’s a great saying, ain’t it?), I’ll make a list of these to share on this site, just… because… Who knows, one, or two, people might find it interesting. What I’d really like to do is create YouTube videos about the material in those course.

If I were to concentrate soley on music theory, I have enough material in all of those courses to create 1000’s of videos over the years, but theory isn’t my only interest. My interests are scared because I love all elements of music. Hopefully, I can get a little more focused over the next few years.

Until Next Time,

  • DAY 002: USE MORE AI – FIGURE OUT HOW ON YOUR OWN

Artificial Intelligence is certainly one of those new technologies (relatively new anyway) that gets pushed on the work force without much instruction being provided on how to use it. At least, that’s been my experience with it in the federal government. Don’t get me wrong, there is training available, but you as the individual employee…

Do you find yourself trying to talk nice to the AI (LLM) when you’re typing in your prompts? i.e., saying things like, “Please,” and, “Not right now, maybe later.
